Great win, and great performance. Best Vlcek has played in a long long time, and good to see some youth players coming through. Straka proving the ultra's wrong it seems. Also good to see not everyone in stadium agree's with their opinion on him and just care about the team and winning matches

He's injured. According to this article he picked up a groin injury in the Sparta game and it's more serious than they thought. No word on how long he'll be out though:

I don't see what the big fuss is about us appointing him. The fans didn't want Petrous in charge & now he isn't... They've got what they wanted.
His past at Sp*rta can't count for too much as he is apparently a good manager.
Good luck Frantisek, hopefully he can start with a win at Zizkov :-)

Not all the fans didn't want Petrous. Seemed to be just the ultra's. I definitely wanted him kept on as manager anyway. The players are the problem, not him

Yeah, a change has been needed, but we didn't want such a dedicated native Sparta fan we've got. Moreover the way Petrous was told about it was against all elementary etiquette regulations

I've seen video from press conference and it seem that Petrous has been offered position of coach "B" few days ago. So he has to know, that there will be changes.

Of course Petrous had known about his withdrawal in general but he didn't expected that he would be told about the particular date and name at the press conference after match for the first time. It wasn't correct. He should have been told on his own and afterwards the official report should have been done for the press.

Thing is though, regardless of what has happened behind the scenes, the team have a new manager & if none of them are complaining then why should the fans? It may sound far-fetched now but if we won the league next year under Straka & made the champions league (as happened with Jarolim) would the fans still be unhappy with him?
Stuff like this happens all the time in football, it's a results business. If he gets results then he's good enough.

OK, this would be true for anybody else, not for him. He is devoted fan of Sparta, which his previous statements prove. Even though he talks about his appointment as a job, I can't help disliking him. At least it's my own opinion.

Quality. You go the Zizkov games? Reckon I've been to more Zizkov games than Slavia games in past 4 years due to their away games being easier to get in to. Should be good game against Bohemka tomorrow night. Then Slavia on Sunday, weekends are great

Yes, I've been going to Žižkov games since I moved to Prague, mainly because I've always lived quite close - either in Karlín or in Žižkov itself. Quite a casy wee stadium, as well, and the klobásy aren't too shabby either...
Otherwise, a change has just been announced to the KO time...now it'll be on at 18.30 on Monday 17th. Apparently the reasopn for that is that the game suddenly became interesting for TV due to Slavia's change of manager..
